1888 Society

Meet Members

Members of the 1888 Society make a powerful statement about their devotion to Christiana Care's mission. Membership in this special group of generous and forward-thinking friends is open to all who have included Christiana Care in their estate plans.

The 1888 Society is named in honor of the philanthropic tradition begun well over a century ago by J. Taylor Gause who helped establish the Homeopathic Hospital in Wilmington. His broad vision in 1888—the year patients were first accepted—led to what is today one of the region's largest, most progressive health systems.

If you have made provisions for Christiana Care in your estate plans, please let us know so that we may welcome and recognize you as a member of The 1888 Society. For more information on opportunities to include Christiana Care in your estate plans, call the Development Office at 302-327-3305 or contact us by email at developmentoffice@christianacare.org.
